A scarlet macaw dominates the right side of the composition, its red and blue plumage set against a field of tropical foliage rendered in a loose, painterly style. A yellow parrot occupies the upper left corner, and a toucan appears at the lower left, its oversized beak visible at the edge of the frame. The botanical field fills the remaining space with large green leaves, blue wisteria-like flower clusters, and pink flowering branches, all against a light cream ground. Red piping runs along all four edges, picking up the dominant color of the macaw. Handmade. Cover only, filler not included.
Size: 45 x 45 cm / 18 x 18 inches.
The birds and foliage are woven into the fabric as a jacquard textile, so the brushstroke quality visible across the feathers and leaves comes from the weave structure itself rather than from any surface treatment. Because jacquard weaving builds color and tonal gradation through thread placement alone, the loose, impressionistic character of the composition is structural, not applied. The red piping is hand-sewn along all four edges. Not printed; the entire composition is woven directly into the fabric structure
