It shows a Patent number as well as "Jan-2-23," presumably the issue date. The lamp has its original paint with some rust patina, which gives it great character. This design was copied by Visual Comfort in the 80s or 90s, as it is classic and timeless, and so functional! This is the original lamp at its best.

These lamps were meant to be portable, carried around in a workers tool box, when the lamp is totally folded up, the base and shade protect the bulb from being broken as the tool box was moved around. Made of steel and brass, fully extended the lamps measure 10 inches, minor surface rust adds to the period character of the pieces.

The articulating arm is a bit stiff, but it does work. Burnt Orange twisted fabric cord and plug cover look to be new and rewired, but socket is original. It works like a charm!

Measures: 6" deep x 8" high, 10" when fully extended.
