The serpentine marble top is composed of interlocking stone tiles in soft sand and taupe tones, their natural veining forming a subtle mosaic-like surface. Below, a gilt-metal base unfurls in sweeping scrolls and looping details, anchored by a stepped marble plinth that echoes the warmth of the top. At four and a half feet wide, the scale is substantial without overwhelming—ideal in an entryway or beneath a mirror. Condition: Very good vintage condition. An old surface crack is present on the marble top; it is subtle to the eye but can be felt when running a hand across the surface. The gilt-metal base shows light patina consistent with age.
