Artisan-made in France in the 1960s, this iron potence light captures the essence of mid-century industrial design.
A single elongated arm extends into spacebent at sharp angles, its reach both functional and sculptural. The hand-forged iron carries a matte, time-softened blackened finish, worn gently along the joints and fittings. Mounted to the wall with simple bracketed hardware, the arm pivots outward in a long, graceful sweep.
At its end, a slender socket holds an exposed bulb, casting focused, atmospheric light. Ideal above a reading chair, over a console, or as a minimalist alternative to a pendant.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. The iron surface shows areas of wear, consistent with age and use, including scuffing and a naturally softened blackened finish. Secured to the wall with two small brackets. Professionally rewired by our team of restorationists. Accepts one E12 light bulb. Additional Dimensions: Wall-mounted portion: 55"H. Measurements were taken while the piece was lying flat. Depth varies by positioning.
