Crafted in richly figured rosewood veneers, the façade is articulated through a disciplined geometric composition—paneled doors framed by stepped moldings that create depth and rhythm across the length of the piece. The warm, variegated grain shifts subtly from panel to panel, a testament to careful veneer selection and thoughtful layout. The case rests on an elevated base with openwork supports, lending the otherwise substantial form a sense of lightness. Brass hardware punctuates the surface, each circular pull precisely positioned and balanced within the grid-like design. Three original keys are included. Behind the doors, generous storage compartments are fitted with shelving, revealing an interior finished with the same level of precision as the exterior. The construction is solid and deliberate throughout, reflecting the high standards of French cabinetmaking in the early to mid-20th century. Equally suited to anchoring a dining room, library, or grand living space. Condition: Great vintage condition. The top has been carefully refinished to match the current stain and sheen. Minor surface wear throughout, including scuffs along the base and surfacing cracking to the front panels. The structure is solid and sound, with doors opening and closing smoothly.
