The rocky outcropping benefits from the artist’s impasto technique of thick brushstrokes in a hazy palette with the trees more finely rendered. These organic textures of the scene draws the viewer in for a closer look, as if one can touch and feel the trees and earth. Signed to the lower left and sold unframed, there is some loss of pigment around the edges. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age.
