The sculptor’s control with the medium is evident throughout every feature, presenting a bold realism of her physical characteristics with empathic observation that leaves the viewer to project their own ideas of who she was beyond the stoic features captured here. Regarding the condition: there are a number of chips that reveal the white plaster underneath and the work has a slight wobble (professional mounting recommended).
