The two-plank top (approximately 3 ½” thick) reveals a series of “honest repairs” by square dowels interrupting the natural flow of the grain yet complementary to the organic patina. The top and solid legs are proportionate, making a linear profile with stretcher bars on the ends reinforcing the mass. It appears the table has been raised at some point in time with blocks added to the feet of each leg, shaped and stained to match. This antique farm table has been gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve all the historic character, ready to join your interior.
