The main dining surface offers ample room for six while three additional leaves bring the table's total wingspan to 127.5 inches, accommodating 12 guests comfortably.

The table's monumental size seems incongruous with its sleekly tapered legs, which derive their strength from plywood construction. Thompson left the inner edges of the plywood legs exposed rather than veneering or painting them, reflecting an era when innovative uses of the material were something to be celebrated, not hidden.

Solid walnut trim tapers towards the edges, making this piece instantly recognizable among collectors of mid century modern design.

The table has been fully refinished and shows beautifully, with few signs of age. The Watertown Slide extensions function perfectly, supporting the weight of the table in expanded form without a hint of protest. Ready for immediate use.

This table is unmarked. We have sold this design a handful of times, some examples of which were marked and others were not. We are 100% confident in the attribution. See less
