Dating to the late 19th century, the chairs feature finial-capped posts, fluted uprights, turned spindle galleries, turned front legs, and stretcher bases characteristic of the Henri II taste and French Renaissance Revival design. The chairs retain a rich walnut patina with warm tonal variation throughout the frames, complemented by hand-caned seats and backs that add both texture and lightness to the architectural silhouettes.
