Set of four vintage Milo Baughman armchairs for Thayer Coggin, showcasing the timeless sophistication of iconic American mid-century modern design. Founded in High Point, North Carolina in 1953, Thayer Coggin became one of the most influential modern furniture manufacturers in America through its legendary 50-year collaboration with Baughman.
Known for blending clean architectural lines with comfort and functionality, Baughman’s designs helped define the California modern aesthetic of the 1950s–1970s. His work has been exhibited at MoMA and the Whitney Museum, and remains among the most sought-after names in collectible modern furniture.
This set features sleek chrome frames with original geometric upholstery throughout, retaining a wonderfully graphic and distinctly period look. Original fabric remains in overall excellent vintage condition with light wear consistent with age and use. A highly versatile and collectible set ideal for dining, office, or lounge seating.
