This is Plate No. 95 — Beckmannia cruciformis (Slough grass, fruiting spikelets, 12x magnification) — from the first and only edition of Wunder in der Natur, published in 1942. Photogravures utilize a copper etching process that produces an almost velvety, luminous tonal quality impossible to replicate with modern printing. This is not a reproduction. Full provenance documentation from VintageSmith.com included on verso. Framed in black with white mat, ready to hang. See less
