This beauty has the original sales description tag from the Halls department store in Kansas City, from the days when department stores were at the height of luxury and refinement!
The exterior is in antique condition, with some cracks to veneer and some bleaching to the finish on the back as though it spent time in a window where sun may have affected the finish- It is not rough to the touch but shows lightening of the finish. The interior and bottom do show the signs of age as it is missing some of the veneer on the lids to the compartments (one has the missing piece available for reattaching.)
This is highly collectible antique is just gorgeous and would be lovely displayed atop a pile of books, tucked as a bookend onto a shelf, or set out as a coffee-table feature.
