This expressive composition depicts two young children engaged in play, rendered in a vibrant palette of blues, greens, pinks, and warm earth tones. The artist’s distinctive modernist style combines textured brushwork with abstracted forms, creating a charming and emotionally engaging scene.

Signed “G.B. With ’57” on the front and identified on the reverse as “Little Drummers” along with the artist’s name and date. The painting is executed on masonite and presented in its original period frame. An excellent example of postwar European modernist figurative art.

The painting remains in great vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age. No major issues to note.
