It is a work of organic engineering, a piece that seems to have emerged from a surrealist dream or an aerodynamics laboratory. The solid wood base is composed not of simple legs, but of a complex system of struts and tie rods reminiscent of animal vertebrae or bird bones. The glass top reflects the complex "skeleton" beneath from every angle. The top appears to float above the structure, connected by small brass joints that allow the wood to "breathe" and move without breaking the glass.
