Each bench features a concave, waterfall‑form top with softened edges, executed in richly grained wood under a warm clear lacquer. The perimeter is accented with caramel‑toned Bakelite inlay — an uncommon and distinctly Machine Age material detail that heightens the period character.

The open lower shelf introduces a light, architectural element, balancing the fluidity of the curved top. Originally intended as bench seating, the sculptural form also allows the pair to function as end or nightstand tables. They may be adapted for use as with the addition of a flat surface such as glass (not included.)
