A gorgeous hand-painted oval porceclain box with a highly decorated lid. This lovely Neoclassical Revival piece is created from porcelain, and features an oval shape, with a removable lid. The lid depicts a romantic scene of the French aristocracy sitting at a table with glasses of champagne. The piece is covered in a deep cobalt blue and decorated throughout with gilt stylized floral details.
The underside is Marked in Gold, "Sevres" with the number "1" in green. Under the lid, is marked "4" in green, and "83" in red.
