Exquisite rare ceramic figurine and lamp of the early 1940s: striking young dancer with chin-length black curls, dressed only in … Read more Exquisite rare ceramic figurine and lamp of the early 1940s: striking young dancer with chin-length black curls, dressed only in a long, split, light-coloured skirt with a stylised floral pattern in red and green and red high-heeled shoes, balancing on one leg in front of a lamp stand with her upper body leaning backwards and one leg stretched out behind her, holding the skirt panels at the hem in a looping shape forwards and upwards behind her head. Behind the figure, a knee-high lamp base with a tall brass rod featuring a porcelain thread for a candle-shaped e14 bulb and a brass fitting for the shade, which takes the form of an original spherical bohemian art deco lampshade in light brown with iridescent coloured powder flecks. Set on a black, stepped diamond-shaped base. Model 8796 was created and made circa 1942/1943
