This exquisite antique secretary desk, crafted circa 1900, showcases a sophisticated combination of burl walnut and carved walnut construction. The piece features a distinctive slant front, adorned with intricate marquetry inlay, opening to reveal a functional writing surface and interior compartments. Above the desk section, a stately upper cabinet with an arched pediment and glazed doors, divided by mullions, offers display or storage space. The desk is supported by elegantly carved cabriole legs, terminating in pad feet, and features a decorative carved apron with a central shell motif.
