Oak bookcase featuring a storage unit with sliding doors and an open upper structure with adjustable shelves. Designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors in 1964.
Bookcase designed by Bertil Fridhagen for Bodafors in 1964, featuring an oak construction with light, rigorous proportions. The composition combines a storage unit with sliding doors with an open upper structure with adjustable shelves and a large central shelf. The integrated slanted shelf introduces an unusual architectural detail, designed for displaying books and magazines, which breaks up the linearity of the composition and emphasizes its design character. The thin uprights and modular design reflect the language of 1960s Swedish Scandinavian Modern. Original manufacturer's mark included. Good condition. May show signs of age.
