This exquisite mid-century studio ceramic vase comes from the renowned Wilhelm Kagel pottery workshop (Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and dates back to the 1960s. The vase captivates with its classic, bulbous shape and masterful sgraffito decoration: delicate, geometric diamond bands were precisely incised into the clay by hand and finished with a characteristic, vibrant copper-green glaze. The original workshop mark is located on the underside. A rare, collectible highlight of German post-war studio ceramics.
