A table in solid walnut, with the edge beneath the top carved, and lyre-shaped legs joined by curved wooden spandrels. Although influenced by the Renaissance, it dates from the Baroque period, presumably the mid-18th century.
Over the years, a completely concealed sliding mechanism has been fitted, allowing the table top to be extended.
The two small original tops, though from a later period, are included; they fit into the pull-out frame formed by the side rails of the underside of the tabletop.
