Small in scale but visually expressive, the vase combines bold colour contrasts with intricate surface detail characteristic of early twentieth-century Gouda pottery. Set against a matte black ground, stylised floral and foliate motifs wrap around the rounded body in cobalt blue, saffron yellow, ox blood red, and arsenic green enamel decoration. Areas of ivory and bright yellow stippling create additional texture and movement across the surface, while the narrow neck and flared rim provide a balanced silhouette. The Corona pattern reflects the decorative language that bridged late Art Nouveau influences and Dutch ceramic design during the early twentieth century, with hand-painted motifs that maintain both rhythm and symmetry. The underside retains its painted factory markings including the Zuid diamond dating mark identifying production to 1922, together with the Dutch house mark, painter's initials and "Kon Plazuid Gouda Holland". Condition: Very good vintage condition with no chips or damage. Decoration remains bright and bold with a fine surface throughout.
