Rare original vintage 1971 museum exhibition lithograph poster, published by The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation for the landmark Piet Mondrian Centennial Exhibition.
Highly distinct from the artist’s primary-colored geometric grid compositions, this original lithograph features Mondrian’s 1920's watercolor masterpiece, "Blue Chrysanthemum." The clean typography and structural layout were executed by modernist graphic designer Malcolm Grear.
Seated under glass, in original custom frame with a color-matched blue gallery profile. A lovely piece of mid-century design history.
