The painted wood top is 1 ⅜” thick, its blue-black pigment already well-patinated to reveal some of the light wood grain underneath. Such a generous surface area is adaptable to many uses in the kitchen, creative studio, or shop. Straight, square cast iron legs currently in a sky blue finish of similar patina are joined by a more decorative stretcher across the width and plain bars to make a stable “H” form. When measuring for counter stools, the distance between the legs is 44 ½”. Gently cleaned and polished with a French paste wax to preserve the historic character.
