Antique Anglo Indian porcupine quill pencil box, c.1900
Made as a local folk art in Ceylon, now Sri Lanka, from Ebony and naturally shed porcupine quills. This box has a sliding lid and is in good condition with all quills and dots intact. Recently waxed and polished.
