Paris Arc de Triomphe Oil on Canvas Painting, Signed, Framed, French Art,
French Impressionist Oil Painting of the Arc de Triomphe, Signed André Picot
A charming French Impressionist oil on canvas painting by André Picot, depicting a lively Parisian street scene centered on the Arc de Triomphe. Rendered with expressive brushwork and a refined, muted palette, the composition captures the atmospheric light and everyday movement of Paris—figures strolling, carriages passing, and tree-lined avenues dissolving softly into the distance.
Picot’s painterly technique reflects the enduring influence of late 19th- and early 20th-century French Impressionism, emphasizing mood, light, and gesture over rigid detail. The surface reveals confident, textured strokes and subtle color modulation, giving the scene a sense of immediacy and lived experience.
The painting is signed lower right “Andre Picot” and is presented in an elegant giltwood frame, likely original or period-appropriate, which enhances the work’s warmth and decorative presence. Its intimate scale makes it ideal for refined interiors—perfect for a study, gallery wall, or Parisian-inspired space.
A beautifully preserved and evocative work that speaks to collectors and designers seeking authentic French character, historic charm, and timeless subject matter.
