This example features molded birch plywood seat and back panels with beautifully aged honey-amber patina, mounted to a tubular steel base with large shock mounts and early-style domes-of-silence glides. Beneath the seat remains a partial original Herman Miller manufacturer label with visible production markings and surviving “HERMAN MILLER” text, providing strong evidence of authenticity and original manufacture.

The chair exhibits the elegant molded plywood profile, exposed laminated edges, and visual lightness that established the DCM as one of the most celebrated designs of the twentieth century. Particularly attractive is the warm coloration developed through decades of natural aging, highlighting the grain and sculptural contours of the molded plywood shells.
