This impressive Venetian Murano glass chandelier, attributed to the historic Seguso glassworks, dates back to the 1930s, the height of the Art Deco period. The composition unfolds around a linear metal structure, from which elegant sinuous arms extend, supporting blown opaline glass shades, characterized by a refined dotted finish and a soft, diffused light. This type of diffuser, often decorated with subtle surface textures or bands, is typical of high-end Murano glass production of the period. The central stem, embellished with a distinctive glass spiral, is a recurring decorative element in Seguso chandeliers, where formal research combines with extraordinary technical skill in shaping the hot glass.
