For sale is a restored Biedermeier 4-drawer chest of drawers with a spruce wood body and walnut veneer, crafted with exceptional beauty, elegance, and practicality. The walnut front panel, extending across all three drawers, is both striking and distinctive. The inlaid side panels are also very attractive. This chest of drawers was recently restored, hand-polished with shellac, and finished with a shellac coating. An old, round stain on the top of the chest was neatly sealed during the polishing process. During restoration, the chest was completely disassembled, refinished, and its depth was reduced. The chest is clean, sturdy, and in fantastic condition. The drawers open and close smoothly and can be locked with a key. The interior of the chest has a pleasant fragrance. This is a beautiful original piece, a unique item from the Biedermeier period, circa 1840! See less
