Set of six mid-century dining chairs designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Fratelli Turri, Italy, 1950s.
This rare and refined set represents an important example of Italian post-war design, when leading architects such as Osvaldo Borsani collaborated with high-end cabinetmakers in the Brianza region to produce limited, highly curated furniture pieces.
Produced by Fratelli Turri, this set reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and design culture of 1950s Italy, combining architectural clarity with luxurious materials and meticulous detailing.
The chairs feature elegant mahogany frames paired with upholstered seats in green leather, a characteristic color palette of the period that enhances both warmth and sophistication.
Originally part of a larger coordinated dining suite, these chairs were designed to be used in refined residential interiors where design, comfort, and status were equally important.
The set remains in very good vintage condition, showing minor signs of age consistent with use and time. One chair presents a structural element missing on the lower side, as documented in the photos.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a complete set of six original Osvaldo Borsani chairs, representing authentic Italian mid-century craftsmanship with strong architectural and historical value.
