Hand-thrown stoneware bud vase featuring expressive cobalt blue brushwork over a warm speckled glaze. The rounded form and painterly surface create a strong sculptural presence, balancing organic craftsmanship with modern abstract design. Signed on underside. Circa 1960s1970s.
Influence
The gestural cobalt decoration recalls the abstract-expressionist approach of mid-century American studio pottery, particularly the work of Peter Voulkos and related West Coast ceramic artists.
