Vintage 1990 mixed media modernist abstract still life painting by American artist Joseph Rothenberg. Painting is a mixed media work with texture and colorful interpretation of a still life. Various fruit, vases and objects are displayed throughout this painting. Colorful and fun painting that was professionally framed in a white painted frame. Painting is signed and date on the lower left corner by artist.
This painting was purchased directly through the estate of the Rothenberg family. An avid, committed painter Rothenberg was a family friend and inspiration to artist Susan Rothenberg who in a NYT article described Rothenberg as "artist whose excitement about painting was ''totally infectious,'' and who allowed her to work in his studio." Rothenberg is listed in the National Gallery of Art.
