On offer is a very aesthetically beautiful antique Moroccan folk art polychrome tea caddy or storage casket with a hand hammered silver plated lid. This appears to have been produced around the late 19th century however it could have been made earlier or possibly later. The box measures 9" in length, 6.7" in depth, and has a total height of 6.15". The height of the wooden section is 3.5". The wooden body is made from a soft wood that has been gessoed and painted in colorful muted matte tones reminiscent of antique Pennsylvanian wooden ottomans and storage boxes. This truly is quite a unique object and we have been unable to find a similar example anywhere.
