Original watercolor painting on paper by Advent Hunstone, British artist 1858-1927, "June - 1927" scene of three languid maidens at rest during the month of June, 9 1/2" x 15 7/8", signed Advent Hunstone, dated 1927 and titled "June" in the lower right corner front. CA number 3983, CA purchased winter 2026 from a Scottish auction house.
The painting has been re-matted with White Museum matboard, one gold line, museum backing, Museum Glass, framed in 1" antiqued gold moulding.
Hunstone was known to have lived in Tideswell, Derbyshire, England. He began working as a stone mason and sculptor and later became famous as a master woodcarver and painter in watercolors.
