Each side displays a different composition of flowers, branches and stylized birds, executed in delicate silk threads in soft pastel tones against a vibrant red background.

The lamp is finished with decorative trims along the edges, enhancing its elegant oriental character and evoking the taste for Chinoiserie-inspired decorative arts that became popular in Europe during the mid-20th century.

The electrical wiring has been replaced over time and the lamp is currently in working condition. The textile covering shows age-related wear, including scattered stains, discoloration and minor imperfections consistent with its age and use. The internal shade structure also presents visible signs of ageing and deformation.
