This chair and ottoman set is from Ficks Reed's Far Horizon collection by designer John Wisner, introduced in 1954. The original tag is still in place. The frame is made from rattan and hardwood (probably Teak), with caned seat back. It's open ends are covered with silvered brass caps for an elegant finish. These pieces have been completely professionally restored. Seat under-covers are new, and paint has been touched up throughout matching the exact original color, a rich deep dark olive brown. All cushions are sturdy and rich teal fabric covers are clean and almost pristine. These classic pieces should last another 70+ years!
These were first designed for 1950's living rooms, but have been repainted for indoor /outdoor.
