Constructed using the traditional murrine technique — slices of patterned glass cane fused together to form the body of the vessel — with radiating "starburst" patterns and graphic blue-and-yellow "peacock eye" accents creating a kaleidoscopic effect that's especially striking when viewed from above (or through the glass).

Acquired directly from a glassmaker on the island of Murano, Venice, Italy. Retains its original gold foil workshop label and bears an engraved signature on the base.
