This piece is a large, wall-mounted antique which likely originated as a mantle or sideboard top/buffet mirror crafted from a rich, dark-toned wood like mahogany or walnut. It features a architectural design with distinct functional and decorative elements.
Structural Design:
Central Mirror: A large, rectangular glass panel sits flush in the center frame.
Top Cornice: A prominent, projecting mantle shelf runs along the top, supported by small wood corbels.
Side Shelves: Two small, built-in display shelves project outward on the lower left and right sides.
