Most likely produced in the Karlsbad region of Bohemia. Hand painted enamel Vignette and Gilt Scrollwork.
This museum quality piece features exceptional raised relief gilding, where the gold scrollwork sits proud of the glass surface, creating a stunning three-dimensional texture. The central vignettes are hand-painted with 'Fete Galante' scenes in the 18th century French taste. The execution of the raised gold suggests the work of a premier Bohemian workshop such as Moser, produced for the luxury Parisian export market.
