"Bright Day on Atlantic Shore" oil on canvas seascape painting by Listed Artist Herbert Foerster (American, 1910-1955). This piece lights up the room! The artist commented in an article that he felt this was his best oceanfront painting. It has the gallery label from J. Assenheim & Son, 37 New Street, NY, NY. Nestled in the heart of the financial district, this was a well-regarded art dealer, founded in 1870. This was given as a retirement gift to a prominent Wall Street banker.
