This is an exceptional vintage sterling silver mezuzah case crafted by the world-renowned Israeli silversmith firm Hazorfim. This premium piece features a striking, high-relief spiral swirl or fluted repousse design that wraps elegantly around the central columnar body. Interspersed along the sweeping channels are delicate, hand-chased beaded borders that catch the light beautifully.
The face of the case features an integrated, stylized Hebrew letter Shin (ש) set within a textured, circular reserve. Constructed from heavy-gauge .925 sterling silver, the reverse reveals a clean, hollow channel designed to safely house a ritual parchment scroll. The top and bottom are finished with decorative foliate/scalloped end caps, each terminating in a robust, integrated mounting loop for vertical doorpost installation.

The sterling silver retains its original brilliant luster with minimal surface wear, light micro-scratching, or pocket marks consistent with age and careful handling. The repousse details remain exceptionally crisp, deep, and free of any crushing or structural dents. The mounting loops are perfectly intact and unbent. Note on Surface & Patina: This piece exhibits a bright, highly polished finish with a natural, untouched light tarnish remaining within the deep recesses of the beaded borders and the textured Shin reserve, providing superb visual depth. It has not been aggressively chemical-cleaned or over-polished, preserving its vintage integrity. less
