The shelves as well as the side edge consist of solid beech wood strips, glued horizontally in the surface. The fine shelves of the rare side table were professionally stripped, sanded, treated and the semi-gloss clear lacquer was renewed. Now there are no more edges of water. The frame was carefully cleaned.

hausmann ag in st. Gallen was founded in 1872 and produced and sold medicines and medical aids with great success. There were branches in zurich, basel, davos, lausanne and st.moritz. The head office was in st. Gallen, where hausmann ag was the major supplier in this area for more than a century. It is not surprising to find the finest materials in this neat piece of furniture. After careful refurbishment, the furniture can now again fulfill its purpose as an adjustable side table at table height up to a standing desk with stepless adjustment in height and inclination via screw levers.
