Signed Roland Simmons Lumalight Floor Lamp, dated November 1993.
A rare early example of this iconic sculptural lighting design, predating many later 2000s models currently on the market. Comparable examples of similar scale and condition have achieved significantly higher retail pricing in premium design marketplaces.
Fully functional and presents beautifully both illuminated and unlit—serving as both a light source and a sculptural statement piece.

Design & Construction
Constructed of translucent corrugated parchment, this lamp features Roland Simmons’ innovative accordion structure, allowing it to expand into a stable architectural column and collapse flat when needed.
A full-length zipper provides structural support and access to the internal lighting system. The material diffuses light softly, creating a warm glow ideal for modern and organic interiors.
By day, it reads as a sculptural object; by night, it transforms into a luminous focal piece.
