ca.1970's Italian Art Glass Vase, Oball Studio Murano by Master Glassmaker Luigi Onesto. Onesto was founder of the Vetreria Artistica Oball studio established in Murano in 1978. He hand-engraved his earlier pieces with "L. Onesto Murano" (this piece is signed Onesto, omitting the L.) When Luigi's sons, Michele and Fabio later joined the family business, the engraved signature included the specific artists first name.
Onesto dedicated himself to mastering the sommerso ("Submerged") glassmaking technique to create vases, bowls and sculptures. This vintage vase measures approx. 7.5" height and 4.5" at the widest point. Excellent /near mint condition, no chips, cracks or repairs.
