This beautiful, substantial pot by Acoma Pueblo artist Lydia H Ray features a traditional bird design and intricate line work that are hallmarks of Acoma tradition. Its slightly irregular form is indicative of the handmade nature, and the thin walls are a testament to the skill of the artist.
The pot is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks, and no paint loss. It is 7.5" high and 7" at its widest, with a mouth of 5". It was purchased directly from the artist on the Acoma Mesa by the original collector in the early 2000s.
