The handle is wrapped in rattan to protect from heat. A spirit burner with a wick sits inside the stand and would have been filled with denatured alcohol or spirits to keep the kettle warm. Marked "Gorham & Co." with an 1886 date code and “cuivre” (copper). Weighs just under 4 lbs and measures approximately 11" H x 9" W x 7" D. See less
