Influenced by the rich naturalistic Renaissance traditions of Bernard Palissy, Viennet is world-renowned for her hyper-realistic, three-dimensional botanical and culinary sculptures.
This piece beautifully captures a traditional woodland foraging harvest.
The high-relief composition features vibrantly glazed, trumpet-shaped orange chanterelle mushrooms, smooth porcelain boiled eggs, crisp white button mushrooms, detailed pale green lettuce leaves, and black and green olives.

A signature of Viennet’s artistic process is her custom of sourcing authentic vintage and antique porcelain plates to serve as a canvas, for this piece she used an antique white porcelain plate with scalloped edges.

The plate is signed on the underside by the artist.

In very good pre-loved and displayed vintage condition.
* The dimensional elements remain crisp and visually striking.
There is one tiny, minor "nip" (micro-chip) on the fragile outer edge of one of the sculpted lettuce leaves, which is common for high-relief ceramics and does not detract from the overall display.
• Glaze & Finish: The glaze on the plate has 3 tiny pinpoint divots/bubbles from the original kiln firing process.
• Reverse & Rim: The base rim has 1 tiny rough spot being hung on a wire metal wall hanger. There is also a small patch of sticky adhesive residue left behind on the back from a past glued hanger hook (which can be gently cleared with minor cleaning, but is being disclosed for transparency).
