A striking vintage blue-and-white porcelain table lamp with the layered, collected feel that makes chinoiserie so enduring.
The lidded ginger-jar-form body is richly decorated in cobalt blue with dragons, cloud motifs and geometric borders, all set against a crisp white ground. A tailored black pedestal base adds contrast and keeps the piece from feeling overly traditional, while brass-tone hardware brings a warm finishing note.
The combination works beautifully in grandmillennial, coastal traditional, English country and chinoiserie-inspired interiors—equally at home on a bedside table, console, chest or layered among books and collected objects.
Measures approximately 16” tall, 8”wide and 8” deep.
In good vintage condition consistent with age and use. Light wear is present to the brass-tone hardware and black base from normal use. The porcelain body retains strong cobalt color and a glossy finish. Lamp is confirmed to be in working order.
