Found in the South of France, this 20th Century French Walnut Swivel Top Table dates back to the early 1900's and was crafted in the Art Deco Style. The piece features a rectangular top which pivots to reveal an interior storage compartment that combines formal elegance and functionality. The underside exhibits a green felt for ease of movement. The table top rest on two curved inverted U-shaped legs connected by a brass metal crosspiece which is a characteristic detail of modernist furniture of the time. This marriage of wood and metal underlines the luxurious but rational aesthetic of the Art Deco Style.
